building PROJECT
St Saviour’s Building Project (Favour Cathedral)
The current state of the premises is not fit for immediate occupation. This project will seek to bring the St Saviours Church premises into use as a place of worship for the RCCG City of Favour being the sole occupants and owner of the entire site. The location of the site is quite unique as it is situated in the middle of a residential area, a great opportunity for the furtherance of the actualisation of the vision of COF: To build a strong, vibrant and righteous generation. This area is populated predominantly by the Asian community (i.e. Indian, Pakistani and Sri Lankan) with a few other nationalities in the mix; so, to build and foster a positive relationship with the community. This will be done by engaging the community in order to identify the core needs and creating platforms to meet such needs in line with the church’s ethos. It is evident from history that a church is an instrumental tool for meeting the needs of a community and it is with genuine excitement that City of Favour ventures into this with positive anticipation of being an asset to the community and city as a whole by serving to meet desired need.
Scope
The scope of the entire project will serve to deliver a fully functional and fit-for-purpose church hall with incorporated office and small meeting room(s). The secondary (adjacent) building will serve as a multi-purpose hall cum educational facility easily partition-able to suit the current need; this will also have office(s), meeting rooms and kitchen facilities. The external grounds of the building will be suitably designed with high aesthetics having incorporated parking bays.
